Mammoth Lakes Rentals

Published by Admin under Beijing Olympic Games

For a relaxing winter ski retreat away from the crowds that flock to Lake Tahoe, make your way to the always entertaining Mammoth Lakes and experience a downhill adventure unlike any other. With so many vacation rentals in this pristine and majestic setting, you cannot help but forget about all of your anxieties while you cruise down the slopes of the breathtaking Sierra Nevada mountains.

One of the advantages of staying in a vacation rental is that you have all of the comforts of home at your fingertips throughout your Mammoth Lakes getaway. You can whip up a quick dinner in the fully-stocked kitchen if you simply do not have the energy to go out or kick back in the private media room without disturbing those who want to rest peacefully near the fire. With more space than a hotel room and more privacy than a mountaintop lodge, you can spend your time indoors in a manner that suits your style.

In addition to all of the space and little comforts that make traveling in a group a much simpler task, it also important to remember all of the amenities you have at your disposal to make your mornings and evenings a little easier. Spend each morning on the slopes with dry, clean clothes fresh out of the washer and dryer; catch up on all the previous day’s events on the wireless internet; and entertain the family in the evening in the gameroom or with the numerous TVs and DVD players. Whatever you need for an enjoyable, stress-free trip, your condo or home rental is there to meet your needs.

While the indoor comforts of your lodging are a noteworthy consideration, probably the most important criterion for choosing a condo rental is its proximity to Mammoth Mountain. Fortunately, there are many ski in/ski out rentals where a day of challenging runs and intimidating drops are just a short walk away. Simply grab your skis in the morning and stroll over to the nearby lift for an action-packed day of downhill excitement, and then slide down a lazy run that leads right to the front steps of your convenient accommodations when you need a break from the winter cold.

Many of the Mammoth Lakes home rentals are not only convenient to the ski and snowboarding opportunities of the mountain, but they are also located amidst some of the most breathtaking scenery in the area. A quick glance out the window shows you towering, powder-covered pines and gorgeous, snow-capped mountains that will draw you outwards on a recreational adventure. Head out the back door on a cross-country skiing or snowshoeing excursion on the nearby trails and examine firsthand all of the wondrous natural beauty that abounds in the High Sierra region.

Mammoth Lakes rentals are ideally situated near the fabulous skiing opportunities of Mammoth Mountain and June Mountain while providing all of the luxuries of home for a truly relaxing ski retreat. To realize a more entertaining and invigorating winter vacation than you ever though possible, begin your search for a Mammoth Lakes vacation rental that has all of the comforts you are used to in addition to those little extras that can make all the difference during a chilly winter getaway.

TripHomes.com has the most comprehensive selection of vacation rental homes on the Internet. For an alternative lodging option, consider Mammoth Lakes rentals for your next trip to California’s High Sierra region.

Study Determines that American Muslims are Succeeding

Published by Admin under Beijing Olympic Games

CAIR-Counsel of Arab and Islamic Relations conducted an in-depth study on American Muslims and their participation in American society. Even though American Muslims are a minority within the country their basic values of political participation, economic success and value-filled living show that they are full-fledged members of society even if their fellow citizens don’t agree. By understanding where the American Muslim community is it is easier to understand where they need to go.

In the 18-24 categories other Americans and Muslim Americans were similarly likely to vote. In the elderly category of 70-years-old and older only 4% of American Muslims were likely to vote while 13% of other Americans were likely to vote. Considering the relatively new influx of Muslims into the United States this difference is understandable. However, in the largest age brackets of 25-34 and 35-54 years of age American Muslims were more politically active than others. 21% of Muslims when compared to only 15% of other Americans in the 25-34 category and 49% of Muslims when compared to 40% of other Americans in the 35-54 category vote.

We can also look to education to help determine if Muslims are making the best of their life in America. Education is one measure of success. Of all registered voters 10% of other Americans have less than a high school education while the American Muslim community only 1% has less than a high school education. Only 20% of Americans have a 4-year degree while 35% of Muslim have a college education. In terms of master & doctoral degrees 10% of Americans have an advanced degree while 27% of Muslims have a degree.

Of the most important issues throughout the country Muslim believe that education, civil liberties, the War in Iraq/Afghanistan and Palestine are the major issues they are concerned with. These take center stage as Muslims attempt to work their way in a Judeo-Christian society that recognizes their issues little. It is also important to note that education is a major with this group as it is with other Americans.

American Muslims are a major contributor to the U.S. and have achieved successes in their youth that many other Americans have not. They are more educated and are more politically active than the average. This gives American Muslims a unique place in society. The small group is expected to grow in stature as their numbers become larger.

Where Did All the Money Go? New Yorkers are in Trouble!

Published by Admin under Beijing Olympic Games

Four Months ago Colliers International did a nationwide survey of 49 metropolitan areas on monthly parking rates. Earlier this month they did yet another survey; and what did they find? The average cost, monthly, to park in a Midtown Manhattan garage isn’t $491.80 anymore - it jumped to a whopping $574 , in only 4 months! This represents an increase of over 14% and Downtown Manhattan experienced a similar increase of 11% for average monthly garage parking, from $444.40 to $500. With gas prices only getting worse everyday, New Yorkers are losing massive amounts of money to their cars, and fast.

How can New Yorkers save?

While one possible answer is to move to an area like West Palm Beach which charges only $8 for 24 hours of parking, not a whole lot of New Yorkers can actually take that option. So what should New Yorkers and those who frequent Manhattan do? The answer is information - knowing not only where you can park on the street for free, but when you can do it. Of course, there are times when parking on the street just doesn’t work. In these cases, information is still the answer. Know as much about the parking garages as possible in the area(s) that you will frequent - what are there rates? Hours of operation? Do they have special promotions and discounts? Very often, one can cut the price for parking in a garage in half, simply by parking a block or two away. As the saying goes, “Knowledge is power”.

Music Video Road Trip to Monument Valley

Published by Admin under Beijing Olympic Games

Recently I was asked to produce a music video for an unknown artist out of the UK. The video was to be shot in Las Vegas and to look something like the old U2 video with Bono interacting with crowds outside the various casinos. I thought the filming would be pretty straight forward, you know, hand-held camera, available light from the casino and a small army of Production Assistants with talent releases for the crowds. However, like so many times in my career this production became more than what it was sold to be.

I was sent to Vegas, a day before the director and artist arrived from the UK. After they landed we were meant to spend the first evening determining the best casinos to use for the shoot. The locations had to have the right kind of lighting, traffic flow and most importantly no big advertising in the windows or nearby surrounding buildings. MTV won’t allow an artist to sing their song while standing in front of Starbucks - even if it’s in the background - because it may offend some of their advertising clients and in some cases could be against FCC rules.

But all was not to be worried about. When the UK team arrived the concept of the video had changed. They’d decided that the U2 style video had been done and that we needed to take a road trip to Monument Valley, UT and film various elements of the trip along the way. Usually big adjustments like this cost an artist/record company lots of money to cancel crew etc. On this occasion, we were able to make the necessary crew adjustments and use the remaining budget for a 15 passenger van and gas. The artist’s management and record company fully supported the director and artist in this new direction, especially since it didn’t cost them an additional nickel.

The next morning ten of us, including the artist, loaded into the passenger van and left Las Vegas in our rearview mirror.

Believe it or not, the trip to Monument Valley via a passenger van is not a direct route. There’s a really large canyon in the way forcing those who choose to drive to go around it. I’m of course referring to the Grand Canyon. One can drive north on interstate 15 and turn right at the Harrisburg Junction, just past St. George, UT and then follow highway 59 to Colorado City where it becomes 389 to Fredonia where you’d go south on highway 89 Past Marble Canyon to east 160 which takes you to Monument Valley but it’s the long way to go and you miss the opportunity to see one of the worlds greatest views.

We decided to travel south on highway 93 to interstate 40 East to Williams, AZ where we’d go north on highway 64 to the south rim of the Grand Canyon. Along the way we’d stop to film if the scenery warranted a rest and/or we felt like it. We shot our artist walking on the side of the highway outside of Kingman, AZ, which of course is part of the famous route 66 pilgrimage that hundreds of people take annually. From there we hopped on the interstate and found little interest in stopping as most of the exits are corporate stucco nightmares. If you look carefully though, the desert beyond these blights on the landscape is really beautiful.

Once we turned north on highway 64 the scenery became much more palatable as the tall desert grasses grow close to the road and the desert sage slowly gives way to scrub oak and ponderosa pine.

The Brits had never seen such wide expanses and were mesmerized by the shear beauty of the desert. After nearly an entire day on the road with a few pit stops and a couple roadside shots we arrived at the south rim of the Grand Canyon just in time for sunset. This of course is one of two popular times to view the awesome sight so maneuvering our van around the hundreds of motor homes and camping trailers was a bit of a challenge but once we were parked we hot footed it to the cliff edge to watch the sun drop over the Colorado River’s greatest work. Neither the artist or the director were interested in filming this event because they wanted to enjoy it. We did take lots of photographs.

Once the sunset was complete we realized we had another several hundred miles to cover in the dark to make it to Monument Valley. So back to the van and on the road we went. With no light to shoot with I was able to settle in for the long drive to Kayenta, AZ where we’d made reservations at the local Holiday Inn. We made it in good time and settled in for a good nights rest.

As the sun rose the following morning we piled into our vehicle and drove the few miles north to our ultimate destination. The buttes of the valley appear on the horizon as you approach but their full spectacular prominence is not revealed until you enter the park. A short stop at the visitor center to fill up on water and check in with the ranger to make sure our film permit was in order and then we were off on the 17 mile dirt road that winds through the park.

As we drove down the road from the entrance the director had flashbacks to Back to the Future III while the artist recognized it for the Playstation 3 game Motorstorm. Even though we had the air conditioner on the heat from the Valley floor was penetrating the sides of the van and we all reminded one another to stay hydrated.

After several miles of bouncing along we came to one of America’s most picturesque places, John Ford’s Point. This of course was made famous for the many John Wayne westerns and was our first shot in a video that never got played on the air. We shot in the pristine dunes just below John’s point, we filmed the three sisters and looked through the north window. Our camera shot the east and west mittens, panned the spire of the totem pole and finished with a performance under the thumb. It was a beautiful day with no one collapsing in the heat or any camera difficulties due to dust and sand and all along we thought we were making true art.

Upon returning to Los Angeles via the long route discussed earlier - that’s another story - we learned that artist had been dropped from the record label and that the video would be shelved until further notice. We were all disappointed but still remember the paid trip to Monument Valley.

Curious Who Owns a Certain Phone Number? Use This Instant Free Reverse Phone Lookup To Find Out

Published by Admin under Beijing Olympic Games

There are different times when you might want to “investigate” a certain phone number and find out details about the owner of the phone. A reverse phone lookup will give you details about the name, address and background information of who owns any phone number.

This comes in handy in many different cases - you might want to know what “mystery number” keeps prank calling you or whose number is constantly showing up on your spouse’s cell phone. Whatever the reason, a reverse phone lookup will give you the details you need.

There are businesses that buy access to all the phone records that are out there (including unlisted, business and cell phones) and then build databases of these records for people to search through.

Because there companies have to pay money to put together and maintain these databases, they do charge a fee for using their services. However, I want to show you a free way to get the same information.

Go to Google and enter the phone number in the search box. Put it in the following format: “555-555-5555″, making sure that you use the quotation marks.

Hit the search button and cross your fingers. What you are hoping for is that this particular phone number has been published on the internet at some point in time. Phone numbers will be left online for a number of different reasons (people filling out classified ads, profile pages etc) so if this phone number has ever found it’s way on the world wide web, Google will find it for you.

If you see a match in the results that Google shows, take a closer look to see what you can find out about the number. Hopefully the owner’s full name will be listed and any additional information you can find out is an added bonus.

This free reverse phone lookup is a strategy that will often work for you. Even though using a paid search isn’t expensive, it’s worth taking a shot to try to find the same information for free. You can always use a professional service afterwards if you need to.

The companies that offer reverse phone lookups make their services available to law enforcement, government officials and detective agencies anytime they need to use this type of search. Since this is now available online, “regular” people like you and me can also use this type of service for a small fee.

You will be asked to type in the phone number, hit the search key, and the person’s information will be instantly displayed on your computer screen.

You can go to http://www.easyreversecellphonelookup.com if you want to see how this works with a free sample search.

It’s interesting how much information you can find out about someone just by having their phone number. Not only will you have access to their name and address but you can typically find out other background information that might be helpful.

One suggestion to save money is to look for a company that charges a one-time fee for unlimited searches. This ends up being a lot cheaper as you will only be billed once and can then run a search whenever you need to.

A reverse phone lookup is a handy tool to have when you want to get more information about a phone number. Give the free search listed above a try to see if you can find what you need. If need-be, you can always pay a few bucks for a paid search afterwards. Good luck!

Try a free sample Reverse Cell Lookup to get full information on any phone number.

Doing Your MLM Online? Here’s a Crash Course on SEO!

Published by Admin under Beijing Olympic Games

If you’ve decided to run you MLM online, then it is imperative that you learn some basics about SEO, otherwise known as search engine optimization.

What is SEO exactly?

I like this definition found in Starting an Online Business by Greg Holden. It says, “SEO is a set of practices designed to improve your site’s placement in search results and is a cost-effective form of advertising that any Web site owner can tackle. SEO gives you a measure of control over the quality of your placement in search results…” (p. 289, 5th Edition)

In other words, you want to take the best steps you can to get your site listed as high as possible on the search engines.

But what are these steps or practices?

First of all, you need to think like a person who has just logged onto the Internet in search of something. Most likely they will do a search in Google and type in what they are looking for. People who are looking for information about MLM’s might type in “MLM” or “MLM Help” or “How to be a Network Marketer”. All of these quoted phrases are what the search engines call keywords.

Keywords are crucial to SEO. You want your site to be peppered with these keywords so that the search engine will see your site as a viable source of help to those who are looking for it. For example, make sure the main heading of your site contains the keywords you want people to find you with.

A second step that is important for good SEO is to secure a domain name that includes an important keyword as well. Every time someone clicks on your domain name, they are linking to you. Search engines like this and it’s also a great benefit to you because people will most likely remember you better.

Running a successful MLM business online is definitely doable. SEO is just one of the many areas that must be learned, but having a good marketing system can help get you over any humps you may need to jump over.

Commission Blueprint Review

Published by Admin under Beijing Olympic Games

Commission Blueprint comes across as one of those typical “make money online” products. This article is going to review the Commission Blueprint product and give you a brutally honest take on whether it is worth your time and money two out of the four most precious commodities you have in your life (following health and family of course).

Commissions Blueprint is not your usual serving of Internet marketing “guru” rubbish though. It is is important to make that clear from the very start. The two guys writing and creating this product are not themselves “Internet marketing gurus”. They openly and readily admit that they hate networking at seminars and big business events. They avoid it, and thats probably a good thing, because none of that “affiliate marketing ego” has rubbed off on them. These two are nice, genuine and upfront product creators.

Their product is not for the beginner though. Whilst not super advanced, it would be very helpful to know something about Google AdWords before purchasing this course. It covers a lot of topics, from selecting products, to the copy-writing for your adverts. This product is comprehensive, and unlike many others, it over-delivers in terms of quantity and quality of content. What they are teaching is both new and fresh. You get a whole new take on the AdWords game and this product shows you why you may not have been succeeding before, and the best part of it is, it actually discourages selling “make money online products”. Now that is refreshing!

Despite all of this though, only one thing matters the opinions and thoughts of paying customers. If you want more information and an independent review, check out my Commission Blueprint Product Review Page

Email List Building

Published by Admin under Beijing Olympic Games

Six Sublime Tips for Email List Building

One of the oldest methods in the world of selling products or services has been the venerable mailing list. From old time “direct mail” letters to modern email messages, the “LIST” has almost reached mythical proportions in marketing circles.

And with good reason because lists work! But most marketers are not sure exactly how to start and maintain a good email list. Read the 6 tips below to understand how to increase your email list building skills.

(1) Add a Sign Up Form On Every Single Webpage of Your Site

Most people both old and new marketers forget this simple concept. Put your form in front of your visitors’ faces. Most people that come to your website will be “tourists” in one second and then they click away gone forever. Others are genuinely interested in what you to offer but either don’t have the need for it at the current time or don’t have the money. Make it easy for those interested to keep in contact with you. Put a sign-up form “above the fold” on each every page.

(2) Tout the Benefits of Joining Your List

On your subscription or landing page, “prove” to potential subscribers that your newsletter will not be (a) spam (b) a waste of their time. People have lots of info overload in their lives, so they want to read things in their inboxes that are interesting, useful or informative. Offer testimonials, sample messages or an archive of older newsletter issues. Show them “what’s in it for me”.

(3) Offer Special Opt-in Incentives

Okay, this seems like a bribe right? So? People have spam on top of spam, piling into their inboxes everyday and most of them of very tired of it. By creating a really good special report, giving away discount coupons, or great video or podcast series, you are offering a bit of carrot to a very timid gun-shy rabbit. You drop a little carrot here; a little lettuce there, and soon, they will come of their holes and take a full nibble of what you to offer. So start developing that bunny food.

(4) Use basic SEO Tactics

The most underutilized SEO (Search Engine Optimization) tip, I know about is page title names. Most people either don’t know or don’t bother to rename their webpage titles to reflect the content of the page. Say you write a serious kick-butt article on list building but on your website it’s named “list1.html”, “list2.html”. Give the search engines and potential prospects a chance to find you! You could rename them, “how-list-building-rocks.html” or “increase-profits-with-list-building.html”. Be clear about what’s on the page.

(5) Use Pay-per-Click Ads to Drive Traffic

If you have the budget, you can use something like Google’s AdWords program to push traffic to your email subscription landing page. You can select the keywords you want to use and then create a campaign around them, using classified like ads to get people to sign up. Make sure you have a great landing page, because every person who “clicks away” without signing up costs you money!

(6) Run a “Membership Drive”

Ask your current readers to help you get more subscribers. Set up “Send to a Friend” options on your website and ask people to send emails to their friends and business associates asking them to sign up. Give away a special report or coupons or some kind of prize to person who has the most “friends” to sign up.

By using these six tips for email list building, should you be well on your way to developing an awesome email list and powerful downline.

This article with useful information about the importance of list building to increase your bottom line and ultimately your profits was brought to you by Michael Murphy. Try visiting also his list building site at http://www.downlinebuilderdirect.com
